Hey friends! I am so excited to share an awesome experience with you and tell you about a fun new store that opened right here in Memphis.  Just in case you don’t know I should probably tell you that my career up until a year ago was in retail.  I managed a couple of different stores for 15 years and now I am a full time stylist/blogger.  My heart has always been in fashion and I have to say that Memphis is a pretty tough market for shopping that fashion.  But times do change and retail is on the rise in this city!  Finally! We are getting some amazing stores especially at The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, TN.  A very recent addition to…

Hey ladies! Happy May! This is my most favorite month out of the year!  April showers bring May flowers right!?  I am finally getting to my second post in my series of shopping posts. The first one was How to Become an Expert Shopper. This one is going to be about what determines a quality garment.  I guess you could say I have a personal interest in this subject.  It is important to me to find pieces that will last and will be low maintenance. Of course there are exceptions to the rule when you are purchasing a trendy item that you don’t pay much for and will not wear the next season. I know we all have these items.  But what I will say…

Hey ladies!  I hope your week has been going well! Mine has been really good and productive.  I had some exciting news a few weeks ago that I had been accepted into rewardStyle. That was one of my goals when I started blogging so I was over the moon when I got accepted. What is so special about it you might be asking yourself? Most of my friends had no clue about it or that they could shop my looks using the LIKEtoKNOW.it app created by rewardStyle.  When I explained this to them they got really excited and downloaded the app and followed me! You may have heard of LIKEtoKNOW.it or have seen the hashtags in people’s captions on Instagram and wondered what in the…

Hello friends!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend whatever you did!  We had a good relaxing weekend and got some much needed rejuvenation!  I have been so busy the past couple of weeks.  During that time I had the pleasure of attending a blogger event at The Shops of Saddle Creek.  I was so excited about it because Saddle Creek is my favorite sensational shopping destination in town.  It has always been good and in the past couple of years has become even better. They built on to the shopping center and added some much needed wonderful retail shops to the area.  We had the opportunity to go to four different shops for different activities and came home with lots of fun and…

I did the following presentation at The Dixon Gallery & Gardens Munch and Learn on Wednesday, March 28.  The only thing I did not included in this are the lovely pictures because I did not want to infringe on any copyright laws. The image above is one of my own. It does contain a book I purchased that is more of a coffee table book; not one that I enjoyed reading. It has great pictures if you are interested and is called Chanel and her world. The one that I enjoyed reading was Mademoiselle “Coco” Chanel and The Pulse of History.  I skipped through most of the political stuff in it. If you enjoy politics than this is definitely the book to get! This presentation…

Hey friends! Are you ready for some art and fun in Memphis!  Well, you better get ready! Your going to see so many amazing pictures in this post! I am so excited to tell you about my visit to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens here in Memphis, TN! I am discovering through blogging that we have some really beautiful places here in Memphis.  I am somewhat of a homebody so it sometimes takes others to get me out of the house! It’s sad but true.  I got an invite to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens and I’m so glad I did.  A few of us local bloggers went and met Amy Lawrence, Communications Associate, and got a wonderful tour of the grounds and the gallery. …

Hello Ladies!  I really wanted to do a post on my recommendations for holiday gifts. I wanted to make it fun and different and could not figure out what to do.  As I was laying in bed one night I remembered I needed to get some Chick-fil-A calendars for people for Christmas. We have done this the past few years. I try to get them early because one year they sold out.  This is something that people truly love to receive for Christmas and don’t usually purchase for themselves.  It is so simple and it’s the gift that keeps on giving!  Wow, LIGHTBULB!  That would make a great post for Christmas gift ideas! I decided to round up a list of things that I feel…
