I did the following presentation at The Dixon Gallery & Gardens Munch and Learn on Wednesday, March 28.  The only thing I did not included in this are the lovely pictures because I did not want to infringe on any copyright laws. The image above is one of my own. It does contain a book I purchased that is more of a coffee table book; not one that I enjoyed reading. It has great pictures if you are interested and is called Chanel and her world. The one that I enjoyed reading was Mademoiselle “Coco” Chanel and The Pulse of History.  I skipped through most of the political stuff in it. If you enjoy politics than this is definitely the book to get! This presentation…

Hey friends! Are you ready for some art and fun in Memphis!  Well, you better get ready! Your going to see so many amazing pictures in this post! I am so excited to tell you about my visit to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens here in Memphis, TN! I am discovering through blogging that we have some really beautiful places here in Memphis.  I am somewhat of a homebody so it sometimes takes others to get me out of the house! It’s sad but true.  I got an invite to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens and I’m so glad I did.  A few of us local bloggers went and met Amy Lawrence, Communications Associate, and got a wonderful tour of the grounds and the gallery. …

Hey ladies!  I am taking a break from my fashion posts today because I want to tell you about an awesome toiletry bag I recently purchased!  We all need a good bag to put shampoo bottles and our daily beauty products in when we travel.  These days most of us have a good many of them.  My husband had one request when we got married and that was to only have a few bottles in the shower and under the sink.  HA!  Fourteen years later and that has never happened! I am overflowing with things under my sink, on top of the sink and in the shower. Poor guy!  I never asked him if he was joking about that but he has not pressed upon…

Hey friends!  Do you like to shop?  I know most people think that all women like to shop but I know lots of woman that don’t. It is a frustrating process for them and they have trouble deciding.  I get it!  This actually is what provides me a job. There is really an “art” to it.  I have become a professional shopper over the past 20 years of my life.  My retail background has just made me really good at it.  I shop for lots of people in my family and friends.  I also professionally shop for clients and my goal with my blog is to be able to help more people. It is amazing the amount of choices there are for women these days! …

Hey Ladies! It is Monday! I hope it’s a “better than the normal” mundane Monday! I have a fun “Tidbit” topic today that I want to share with you! If I had to guess I would say that most of you are iPhone users. Android by far dominates the cell phone market but it seems that the majority of the fashion world uses the iPhone. That last part is just speculation! But I truely feel like I’m right on. I have never used an iPhone so I don’t even know if I would like it. So, I will concentrate on the topic which is my lovely new Google Pixel 2 XL and Live case that my husband designed for me. Why I love my new…

Hey! I hope everyone is surviving the time change! I usually adjust much better to this time change than the one in the spring even though the days are shorter. Last week was such a busy week for me that I even forgot about the time change on Saturday night LOL. Thankfully our smart phones automatically update the time change so we got up in time to go to church! I even updated my website on Sunday, so if you are reading this, thanks for coming and you are now able to subscribe and get updates on new posts if you would like! With the new website, I have also created a new section of my blog that is called Style Tidbits. These will be…

Hello girlies! I have had an interesting challenge come my way that had me stumped for a few weeks.  My activewear all the sudden started smelling horrible when I was working out. Like a musty sour smell, not a sweaty smell. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out what it was that was smelling so bad and I finally discovered it was my sports bras. They only smelled bad when they started heating up from my body heat. Yuck!  I also realized that maybe it was time to get rid of the ones that were a few years old (or more).  In trying to salvage them I decided to soak them in vinegar and water in my laundry sink for an hour…
