Spring and Summer are right around the corner and it’s that time to start thinking about what is going to be in style for the season. I love talking about trends and like to start the season out with predictions I think we will see in the season to come!
This season is all about your personal style and wearing what speaks to you and motivates you! There are lots of fun trends to choose from but I want to start by talking about the most wearable trends for the season and the ones I think we will see a lot of! These are also great trends for women over 40,50,60 and 70!!!
Gingham
I know gingham is usually a common print in the spring and summer but this season it is trending and will be found on all different items and in lots of fun colors.
Pleated Skirts
The Pleated skirt has also been a great option most seasons but now you will find it in mini, midi and maxi lengths! It will also be available in all kinds of fun colors as well!
I love pleated skirts because they can be dressed up or down. Although they are not great on ALL body shapes or heights, they are a fun option if you can wear a fuller skirt.
Bold Color
Oh what fun we will have with all the colors for spring and summer! Bold color from head to toe is the way to go! Take a look at all the strong colors in the line up from the Pantone Color Institute and you will get an idea of what you will see! I am looking forward to all of it!
Coordinates
I have been talking about sets for a few seasons now and this season is no exception! You will see an explosion of sets, not just two pieces but whole outfits that match! When something is trending and very versatile at the same time it’s a win-win in my mind!
The Less Is More Cardigan
I am calling this the short and sweet trend because that is what these little guys are! They are the perfect layering option for spring and summer if you want to cover your arms and can be worn by all ages!
You will also see shrugs in the line up. These were in style many years ago and it’s interesting to see them return! What do you think of the shrug?
Crochet
Crochet is a great way to add some whimsey to your wardrobe this spring and summer! I love this trend right now and really think it’s super wearable by any age.
There are also so many options available like the three examples above. It will be available as just an appliqué on a garment, a full crochet piece and in bright colors or neutrals like white!
All White From Head To Toe – Literally
All white from head to toe is a white outfit and white shoes! Anything goes with this trend; wear a top and bottom or a one piece to create your look. I love the refreshing simplicity of this and I think it will make you look like your worth a million bucks!
