Play by Sephora December box samples and Ellis James Large Cosmetic bag.

Hey y’all!  I finally found time to try some of the items from my Play by Sephora December box.  I loved the “Glam Straight” theme of it! So cute!  Deep down inside I wish I was glam but at least I can like glam things lol!  This sample box is focused on giving you the ultimate night-out look.

The box contained the following and below are some shopable links if you are interested in looking at any of them.

Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Shadow Duo in Golden Hour:  First of all, the colors in this eye shadow duo are AMAZING! They are called Turned On and Psyched. I went straight for this when I opened my box! One is a dark bronze color and the other is rose gold!  Perfect for my red hair and fair skin.  Funny story is that my husband got me two Smashbox Cover Shot  Palettes for Christmas without knowing anything about this. He didn’t get me this exact one but the other two I got are awesome!  He likes to go shop for me at Sephora for Chrismas and find me cool stuff, which I love.  Most husbands wouldn’t dare!

Smashbox shadows are a must try! I have always worn Urban Decay because of the awesome colors and pigmentation.  The Smashbox eye shadows are also highly pigmented and go on so well. I also love the creamy feel and the shimmer shadows are not too shimmery.  One of the palettes my husband got me is a matte palette and it has become my daily shadow.

Make Up Forever Artist Rouge Lipstick in Hot Red: I may just be the only person in the world that does not like red lipstick.  I have tried many and they are just not good on me.  But, if you are a red lipstick person this one is very deep and pretty.  I tried it out to see how it felt and it was extremely creamy! Not to mention highly pigmented; a little went a long way!  This is a perfect shade if you like that bold red lip look.

Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1: To be honest I did not try this out like it is supposed to be used.  I sprayed it on my hair instead of my scalp like the directions said.  I wanted to see how it felt on my hair.  It was not heavy and didn’t harden my hair.  It was actually the opposite, light and soft!  The best part about it is the smell! It’s a vanilla musk smell and so good!

Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen in Black: I have tried so many liquid liners it’s not even funny!  This one I actually loved and  I would definitely purchase!  It was actually a FULL size liner too!  It made drawing a cat eye super easy because of the pointy flexible tip.  It also was nonirritating and I could not feel it on my skin.  Most of the liquid liners I’ve worn either irritated or dried somewhat hard on my skin.  So, this is a must try for liquid liner lovers out there.  Easy peasy!

Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream: I have yet to try this. This cream is used to calm redness and irritation.  There is a special ingredient in it called Centelia Asiatica which is a wild grass that has healing properties. Tigers will actually use this wild grass to heal their wounds! I am definitely going to try this and will give you an update when I write about the January box!

Atelier Cologne in Clementine California Cologne:   For those that like rare and raw ingredients this line of perfume is for you.  This scent is a mix of California Clementines with star anise and juniper berries.

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any of these items and what you think.  Also, if you have any questions feel free  to contact me below as well!  I really hope this inspires you to try the Play by Sephora box.  It is only a little over 10 bucks a month and the six samples are always so good!  BTW, I do not get any kickbacks for writing this.  I just truly love this box and believe it has good value for those that like beauty products.

Until next time!
Lots of Love, Jamie

Thanks for sharing! I’m definitely interested in hearing how that cream works, because I get redness on my cheeks.
