To me, Zara is always on point and a step ahead of the rest of fashion retailers.  They started showing their pre-fall in mid-July!  We are usually sick of summer clothing by this point and want to see something new and different.  The best kind of pre-fall items are the ones that still feel like summer but have fall colors. The City Lights Pre-Fall 2017 from Zara is just that. Of course not all the pieces are summer worthy but you can find enough pieces to create a new transitional wardrobe.

My last post was on the Fall 2017 Pantone Colors of the season and they are all represented here. For the first time the Pantone Institute showed the seasonal colors for London Fashion Week.  Most of the colors were close to the same for both New York and London except there was not a burgundy represented at London Fashion Week, instead there was a purple called Royal Lilac, which is represented in some of these pieces.  If you want to check out the colors for London Fashion Week you can do that HERE.

The fact that some of these pieces are floral print and have short sleeves or half sleeves makes them appropriate to wear now. They will also transition well into your fall wardrobe. This is very important if you are wanting to minimize your budget or just minimize the amount of clothing in your closet.

Below are some of my favorite pieces that represent the Fall 2017 color palette.  Some of these pieces, like the heavy coat, will not be good until winter but is a great representation of one of the anchor colors in the palette, Autumn Maple. I hope all these pieces inspire you to get ready for your fall wardrobe and make you excited for the new Fall 2017 season!
