Designer of the Week

Category

Hello Ladies! This week has gone by so fast and next week is Thanksgiving!! Who can believe it! I always tie my Designer of the Week post into what brand has been on my radar that week.  I just seems fitting to make my Designer of the Week about Vince Camuto since  I did an Instagram post on Monday that had two pairs of Vince Camuto booties in it that were purchased for one of my in-town clients!  Also, one of my personal favorite pairs of booties is by Vince Camuto  and I have used them in a ton of my flat lay photos!  So here ya go! Vince Camuto was started under The Camuto Group in 2005 by the man himself, Vince Camuto.   He…

I hope everyone has had a good week so far! Mine has been super crazy and busy with updating and adding a Shop My Instagram and Shop Currenly Loving sections to my website.  That has taken quite a bit of work to create! Whoo! I am glad I am mostly done. Now I just have to add things as I go.  In all that mess I kept avoiding writing this post! Not purposely but unintentionally would loose track of what I needed to be doing.  My husband keeps reminding me to be consistent and he is so right!  My goal is to keep on track with writing consistently even with other stuff going on.  So here ya go.  My Thursday weekly post of my Designer…

If I were to ever enter the retail world as a designer I would want to create denim.  Denim has become that item of clothing that we just can’t live without.  Can you imagine not having your favorite jeans to put on?!  I honestly think that would be the day Jesus would need to return, no joke!  I live in my denim and can’t image not having a pair to put on my body.  I only want to tell you guys things that I am passionate about and as you can tell this is one of them!  In saying that, my two favorite denim brands are AG and PAIGE.  I am going to tell you about PAIGE today because it is a new “love” in…

My Designer of the Week pick for this week is Lilla P!  This is a personal favorite of mine from my years of clothing retail.  I feel like this is another wonderful brand that is missed by so many people.  Lilla P got it’s start with a basic everyday tee in 1998 and has grown into a full line of essentials and other fashionable items to mix in with your wardrobe.  Being masters of fit and function, it is not surprising that they also use high quality, luxurious fabrics to create their pieces. I can personally attest to the quality because I still have some of my Lilla P sweaters and t-shirts from 3 or 4 years ago and they still look brand new!  I…

This designer is very fitting for me to talk about this week.  I have just recently discovered this brand and think that it is really cute and has a lovely price point.  The reason it is so fitting is that the styles just suit my current lifestyle.  Z Supply specializes in great essentials that will mix well into your existing wardrobe.  The clothing style is comfortable and casual but has a snappy look to it.  I was recently shopping with a client and we went to a store in Collierville, TN called Loni’s Fashions, which is the cutest little “hidden gem” in the city that has been in business for 30 years!  That is such an accomplishment for a small business that I am speechless.  Anyway,…

I think I have discovered that I love writing about these designers each week because it brings me great memories of my retail days selling contemporary clothing.  I am one of those nerdy fashion people that really loves to learn about designers and how they came to succeed in such a competitive industry. The things I feel that make a great brand are the quality of their design, the quality of their fabrics and that they stick to their brand image.  One of the brands that I really admire with these qualities is Trina Turk.  I can pick out something designed by Trina Turk a mile away because she has stayed true to what her brand is and the quality of the fabrics and designs…

If you are in love with exceptionally pretty blouses and dresses Parker is the designer for you!  I am not a fan of dresses for myself but blouses are definitely something I love.  I have owned several Parker blouses and have to say…. I am a big fan!  I sold this brand for years working in retail and it was one of my favorite brands.  The blouses and dresses are so feminine and beautiful and they make you feel that way when you wear them. Parker is a New York City brand and was inspired and created for the city girl; whether she is a city girl at heart or actually a city girl for real! Their website says “She is fearless, her style is…
